Participate, learn, and grow in a small class environment (student-teacher ratio 10:1) where you have a name and our teachers and professors use it! Wentworth offers an elite experience to learn from as 94% of our exceptional faculty hold advanced degrees. Wentworth students have an average ACT score of 24, which is higher than the national average, and are accepted to the best universities and colleges in the U.S. Our students get involved and grow through community service, athletics, club and activity participation, and more.

Wentworth Scholars

Accelerated Scholars: An exclusive (1 of 4 in the U.S.) early entrance into college program for students having completed their sophomore year in high school. Graduates earn a high school diploma AND their Associate's Degree in two years. Successful applicants meeting admission criteria will be accepted in to the program (criteria includes a 3.5 GPA and a 23 ACT composite score). Special consideration will be given to international students.

Distinguished Scholars: Designed for honors students, this program affords eligible students an opportunity to take both college and high school classes. Students will graduate with approximately one year (24 - 32 hours) or more of fully transferable college credits.

Launching Scholars: For students with high academic potential, this program provides eligible students an opportunity to take both college and high school classes. Students will graduate with approximately one semester (6-12) or more of transferable college credits.

English as a Second Language

Based on demonstrated English proficiency, students will be placed in an appropriate ESL class (Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced). A tutor will be provided, as well as a computer language program for assistance on demand.

ATHLETICS & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Organized athletics include: Basketball, Cross-Country, Football, Golf, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, Wrestling, Baseball, and Soccer. Athletes have the opportunity to compete at district and state competitions.

Recreational Athletic Programs: Camping, Canoeing/Kayaking, Cheerleading, Dance, Drill Team, Horseback Riding, Power Lifting, Racquetball, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Paintball, Frisbee, Soccer, Football, Precision Drill, Rifle Team, and more

Clubs and Organizations: Food Council, Honor Council, International Clubs, National Honor Society, Newspaper, Riflery, Scouting, Student Government, Yearbook, Quiz Bowl, and Phi Theta Kappa

Camp LEAD--SUMMER CAMP

Combining the best of academics and excitement, students can earn up to 6 college credits in classes such as Leadership & Ethics. Take flight with our aviation program! Take a dive into our oceanography and marine science course, worth 5 college credits - AND become lifetime SCUBA certified! Earn up to 1.5 high school credits in classes from drama to forensics! Create friendships, shoot paintball, swim in our indoor pool, explore the local area on field trips, gain confidence, and more!
